BOFA4x4 8 countries in 8 Days Rally- Sept 13th-19thAs it says above.
September 13th - 19th I am running an all Marques rally in assosiation with the LandyRally. 8 Countries in 8 Days in September. http://www.bofa4x4.co.uk has more details, links etc. http://www.landyrally.com is the main site. The reason that I am 'runnin alongside it is that I know many non landy 4x4 owners like yerselves, who would love an event like this. Also, tis one of the few events that children are allowed. It is for charity and would be good to maybe see some of you on the run. any questions then just ask. The main site is being updated as this only took off in the last 2 weeks. Ill post some fotos soon. Cheers troops wills Last edited by Bill on Wed Jan 23, 2008 1:18 pm, edited 2 times in total.

Just like to point out the title of this thread is a tad misleading. The 2,300 mile event is not 8 countries in 8 days, it's actually 8 countries in only 7 days!
![]() The event has a rest day at the massive 200 hectare 3599 m high off-road site in Val d’Isére deep in the heart of the French Alps as shown in the photos (the off-road site reached incidentally by the 'Hannibal Route' where in 218 BC the Carthaginian military commander took 38,000 infantry, 8,000 cavalry and 37 war elephants up and over the Alps) hence the day less. Off-roading and a free history lesson, what more could you ask for? ![]()
So I've just seen - Rockingham Raceway Sept 2008. Has an actual date for GWR been confirmed yet?

Okay, please let me know ASAP.
BTW, I was the guy who organised the record attempt weekend in 2004 for the GWR Largest Parade of Land Rovers. And yes we did establish a new world record - 260. Incidentally, one of your merry band helped out as a Marshal that day ... Trugga! If I can assist or advise re. logistics or importantly 'how to actually set the record', then by all means contact me via phone or email. Contact details via http://www.4x4-market.co.uk I may be into Range Rovers and the like, but glad to help fellow 4x4 enthusiasts. See Trugga, what goes around come around! ![]()
Or put another way; ...will come back to haunt me ![]() Hiya Tom - good to hear from you. Lawrence
Still got that box of tricks on the dash Trugga ... they were good? Got my own toys now, fitted them for Landy Rally last Sept. 2 sets of musical horns, 1 extremely loud standard air horn (for the MOT you understand) and an electronic box that confuses the hell out of shoppers going about their daily business.
My favourite is the cow mooing, especially good for using on the Vicky Pollard-type fat bird standing right by a zebra crossing who’s concentrating more on her mobile phone than actually crossing the road – you know the one, where even in a hurry you stop to let her cross and she’ll turn her back and carry on chatting to her mate. Grrrrrrrrr!!!!! Mmmmmm, that wasn’t rain, that was a monsoon. Still got the record though, it’ll take more than that to stop off-roaders achieve our goal. Let’s hope the weather’s kinder to you in September during your record attempt. Tell me, was this GWR thingy your idea? Bet it was!
