Strata Weekend 2012

Postby colley on Fri Dec 09, 2011 10:13 pm

Right people i am organising a laning trip to strata and surrounding areas on the 20th+21st+23rd April :D
The trip will consist of camping Friday and Saturday night and leaving Sunday afternoon/evening.
At this present time there will be one group only unless a suitable experienced second leader will step forward with memory map. If we get second leader the trip will be capped to a maximum of 10 trucks and NO more.

Having been laning a lot of the years with different people there are few rules i will be implementing on the trip. If you don’t agree with these rules please don't comment on this thread or put your name forward to attend please.

1, Lanes are likely to be scratchy with the possibility of denting bodywork, so if you have a shinny truck this is not the trip for you.

2, On Saturday and Sunday (laning days) everyone must be ready to leave the campsite to go laning by 9:30am. If you're not ready you will be left behind.

3, If we get a second leader then laning groups will be chosen before the trip takes place so everyone knows who is in which group.

4, All people to ensure that the campsite is kept clean and all rubbish is removed from the site when leaving.

5, This thread is not a maybe list so please don’t put your name down to pull out 2 days before the trip!!! Only put your name down if you can 100% attend.

6, I will not change the date of this trip to suit other people as we will be changing the date every 5 mins as you cannot suit everyone. So please don’t ask.

7, You will not be let on the campsite if you don’t have loads of :drink: Sorry could not resist

Sorry to sound like a stickler but some of these things really pissss me off and can completely wreck a trip due to a couple of people taking the pissssss.
It should be a cracking weekend with some very interesting lanes and hopefully some dry whether.

I have a nice campsite in mind but will confirm the location of the campsite shortly.
As i have spoken with Dannyboy and Mr Tom as they wanted a trip to strata i will put their names down for them.

1, (Leader) Colley
2, Mr Tom
3, Dannyboy
4,
5,
6,

I will confirm the campsite as soon as i can with a link and prices etc..................

Si anything goes  And i am talking about marques of trucks
I put the the 9:30am start as i have been to many laning trips were we have not left the campsite until 11:30 wasting most of the day mate
Dont want to drive all that way to be waiting for people to get ready all morning  That time would be negotiable with the people going on the trip but still would like to be gone by 10am
Would be good if you could make it mate

No, it's cold as in she doesn't want you to get cold. If she doesnt want to get cold tell her she can have the heating on at home for 20 minutes whilst you're away.

As bad as this sounds I'd advise against the missus coming anyway boss

If you have your 2" lift done you will be sound mate. One of us can give you a yank if you hit any bother. Me and Colley hit some brown trouser moments when just the 2 of us did it in the dark. I nearly watched him submerge the V6 at o e point after taking a wrong turn.

Was a great trip though.

This sounds like a great weekend.

Before putting my name down though I just need to confirm dates for a trip to the Navarra in northern Spain, I don't think a week away and then a long weekend in the same month offroading would go down well with err indoors or work.

When the dates are confirmed for Spain I will have a better idea if I can make this or not.
I would prefer a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy.
