Barry Way - NSW to VIC

Postby mid77 on Fri Apr 17, 2009 1:03 am

Few weeks back now took my Fronty down the Barry Way from Jindabyne to Buchan (follows the Snowy River through the Alpine National Park). Roughly 100kms dirt road (not really off-road) but some spectacular scenery and spotted some nice camping spots for the next time I get through that area. Place also looks like a rabbit warren of tracks branching off into all directions but they looked pretty severe and not very well maintained so any exploring will have to wait until I manage to get myself some recovery gear and some decent rubber... Car handled it superbly though and very impressed :D

Certainly is good fun down there, just a shame that it's a 6 hour drive away from home so looks like it will only ever be a long weekend trip.
