You can get some information out of it without registering, although you can get a lot more if you do.

Try clicking on the Browse Maps button, click on the map then Search For Maps then Search this area...

if im not mistaken, do yo have to be registered on glass or something

It will let you see partial maps but not to much info on them . You need to be registered with the green lane assosiation to be able to register with trailwise.

tried several times to reg, but to no avail.

good i suppose if you register it gives you more detail but it does give you a good indication of where the lanes are so you can find them on an o/s map cheers trugga

Have used it as a registered user and it is a very useful tool, tried it tonight without logging in and the google maps interface seems to be on a go slow

From the FAQ's

"TrailWise provides an interface to Google Maps, which is a great way to see all the tracks in an area.

Unregistered users can use this facility, but only a limited part of the data will be displayed, just the basic geography & TRO info really.

Logged in users get to see more features. You can get to the facilty by clicking a hotlink in a selected tracks detail pages, or by using the 'Search' features to look around a given grid point."

To register you need a glass membership or such like how do i join them ???????????

Thats a cracking link Lawrence, from thinking all my local lanes were restricted to finding quite a few driveable ones :dance:

can i just ask if any one knows the definetive answer....have all RUPP's been downgraded and not drivable? the reason i ask is that i have just found one close to me which is not gated and has tyre tracks down it but i dont want to illegally drive it
