Following on from conquering Strata Florida, the next on my list of To Do lanes is "The Gap"

For those that don't know, this lane has a bi-seasonal TRO, but by a strange coincidence, will be open to traffic during the month of September.

Due to the strange way in which the NERC and CROW act work, this might possibly be the last time the Gap Road will be legal to drive.

The route is only probably 3.5 miles long, but as there are a lot of other lanes in the area, we could make an "Autumn Mooch" out of it.

I don't mind leading, as long as there are only 4 vehicles - I reserve 1 place for "Sandy in a Landy" (who may or may not be free to join us).

Please indicate your interest below and you choice of dates (I'll choose one that suits me)

Towards the end of September would suit me fine and dandy

Bugger just remembed I have to look after the kids weekend of 22 september Mrs is at the cottage with her mates :roll:

Any other dates would be groovey.

Just a thought how about the saturday before the pay and play day on Sunday 16 sept?
It would certainly give us something to chat about Saturday night at the campsite.

How about Saturday 30th September then, two weeks after the P&P day and gives me a little time to sort a route...

...unless we do The Gap, Strata Florida, Happy Valley and the Wayfarer in one long run (and it will bring us all nearer to home).

Just a thought

Unfortunately, I don't think Sandy can make that date, hang on I'll check...

...no he can't (he's off to Scottishland that week), so with thee and me there would be two places left available.

Dave my suspension is fairly standard at the moment (very slight torsion bar tweak, to take up a bit of age slack :wink:

)
So wouldnt worry to much about that

It looks like we have our foursome (a GLASS guideline on convoy size):

Trugga
Driftwood
BUMPTJ
lotusfrontera

I propose, as above, we take a long day and do:

The Gap
Strata Florida (subject to water conditions)
Happy Valley
The Wayfarer

I've not worked out any details yet, but roughly, we'll start near Merthyr Tydfil, via Llandovery, via Machynlleth, via Bala, finishing near Oswestry.

That looks to be a very long day out and a long drive, but it is the start of a plan.

Hi Folks,
Suspension is standard, but is very weak at the moment, its bottoming out on normal roads, I`ve done Strata Florida before and I know my suspension wont do it again!!!
I`m just waiting to get new springs and shocks, my lift is in the pipeline for maybe later in the year(airbags!!).
So as long as I get suspension done in time I`ll be there, but if someone else can definately make it then I`m willing to relinquish my place.
