hi diddly ho campers.... Sorry havent been on much of late, busy busy busy. Or at least I keep telling myself that Have got a front diff sorted, gonna stick with the 2.2 diff for handiness sake. Wont have it for at least another 2 weeks tho So im still a provisional on this one. Depends on how quickly i can get myself into gear once i take delivery of it. If i dont come I will be more then happy to meet you lot in wales somewhere if your stopping for camping or some such.

Been a busy week or so with my truck, but just had a relaxing pint with Dave (aka Weave) and weve had a productive time.

In no particular order, we will run the main route friday coming (afternoon) and a couple of near lanes that could be replacements for scratchy stuff. We will also recon a closer meet point for those coming from Wales and SouthEast.

Mart (aka Truckosaurus) has kindly offered to lead a third group, to cater for the reserves who all want to play (Jellybaby, would you want a full spot? also Manny may appear as he always follows Mart (old joke)).

Everyone from up North, plus Mart (aka brachunky) who can now come, I was thinking of meeting 1/2 hour earlier on the M54 services Wolvo side of Telford. Then meet up with the others at a pub carpark to be reconed around Church Stretton.

The general plan from there is to take i na group photo op at the top of the glider station on the Longmynd and split into 3 groups led by Dave, Mart and myself. As a large contingent of the groups are fairly modified and experienced we were thinking of putting those into Mart and Daves group.
The 2 experienced groups would go in seperate directions and run the 2 main sections in alternate order, this would take in the scratchy stuff in around Clunton (so if you dont want to run that section speak up) .
I will lead the novices out on the Mynd half hour later, going slowly we wont cover as much ground and will do just the Mynd with some of the local extras we recon Friday, missing the Clunton part out. Then return to the Mynd for a group meet and goodbyes.

Really looking forward to this. It will be the first time "out" for me and the "new" B although I and the A Series are fairly used to being on some of the Lakes Lanes.
Im more than happy doing the "novice" lanes as I have no desire to explain too many scratches to the missus!

Nope, second recon this Friday (may be more good excuse) afternoon as we both work half day Friday. Single day event so far, but have been asked about North Wales and the Wayfairer maybe late evening or Sat. This event will be a full day around the Longmynd.

If it goes well I'm sure the following month we will run North Wales propper for a day.

Early morning the M6-M5 and down looks a direct route, just a though about skirting Brum to the South, but all A roads to Church Stretton. If your coming that way do you want to meet on M54?

i used to own a freelander that had no faults apart from being built. cost me a small fourtune in putting everything right off road tyres new bilsten shocks and a lift new viscous coupling, looked realy tidy and clean then some little scallys took it for a joy ride after breaking in to my house and smashed it up.
so due to lack of funds my dad bless him brought me the fronty and here i am well impressed with it considering the cost. see members rides daves bargain. really looking forward to the day and i'm going in august to moorlands for the charity event in mine.
