Trouble is mines a b series, i have found one at a local scrap yard, just got to get it tomorrow and try to fit the bugger.

The timing belt has indeed gone south so I'm having a beer in the Wainright inn then waiting for the AA to recover me :thumbdown:

Well every cloud and all that, I've just had the best steak I've ever tasted in the Wainright inn on my second pint of old Lakeland well might as well I'm not driving home :drink:

i guess its still Jennings in the Wainwright then ? Any guest beers on ?

its a shame you are having to pull out mate. can it not be fixed?

Loads of guest beers, and it's within walking distance of the camp site.

I'm thinking loads of bent valves, not a job I want to undertake in a wet field 240 miles from home to be honest.
The AA. Reckon I may well have to stay in a hotel overnight and be recovered in the morning shame

Stay up there mate, ive got a spare seat as Damons missis has decided he cant come n play, you can get recovered sunday, that way you get the best of it all :thumbup:

Think id be having it dropped at the garage that did it, as surely the did the belt too :problem:

So how many are left with no truck issues and how many are on for fixing it tomorrow to come.

I also have a spare seat if reqd, if you could get the recovery for Sunday.

Im thinking i might just kip in the truck as i cant see the point in messin with the tent, especially if its this windy up there :shock:

On the way back now, might possible have to go LR I'll see how the money is when I get home if I can afford the diesel like Arnie, I'll be bark !!!

Finally arrived home at 05.30 this morning after being relayed 3 times by the AA went straight to bed and woke up at 12.30
By the time I'd unpacked the stuff from the Frontera it was getting on time wise and the traffic was building on the A34 so I've decided to give it a miss :thumbdown:

Really enjoyed the weekend and did some great lanes and saw some amazing scenery :thumbup:

There were some interesting moments over the weekend, none as interesting as us rescuing a guy with a broken ankle :shock:

and a bleep off girlfriend :lol:

, from a rough lane, after his 'Buggy' thing sheared off its rear wheel :oh yer:

, it couldnt be repaired, so abit of heavy lifting and some good team work, and we had him back to the bottom of the lane awaiting assistance :thumbup:

and the wrath of a very annoyed bird :thumbdown:
