West Wales Laneing Weekend 2012

Packed the truck this morning ready for the off and it was pi55ing petrol out took it to the garage that do my works vehicles and they replaced 2 fuel pipes in about half an hour just about to leave and one of the brake pipes is now leaking like a sieve.
Just off home to get the shorty and after swopping every thing over should be on my way

At home the shorty started 1st time just about to drive it off and thought I can smell petrol thought must be remnants of the lwb but no massive puddle of petrol under the shorty, what's the chances :thumbdown:

Off back to the garage with the Merc to collect my stuff and repack.
Then I'll be on my way and hope to bum a lift off someone for the laning

Well just returned home after a great time in the Welsh alps

And a big thank you to Colley not only did he organise another blinding weekend but put up with me riding shot gun yesterday.

Well we finally made it home and luckily no more blowouts!! Massive thanks to colley and all the guys for a very entertaining weekend and also for the help fixing my burst pipe and that little pull i needed :lol:

After a bad start to the weekend when a BRAND NEW RECIP!! decided to explode whilst doin 60mph on the middle lane of the motorway :shock:

! BIG brown trouser moment!!! and a not very happy driver :evil:

Awsome lanes again too guys even tho a few people let us down with "No Shows" :roll:

, the 1 group went well, even tho i suffered abit of damage and the odd fault, oh and some new noises :lol:

i for one really enjoyed the trip and have to take my hat off to a standard 2.2 romping round with only a little help here and there, it did really well :clap:

Arrived back and unpacked, had a fantastic weekend and got some good pics. Good to put names to faces and the lanes were excellent, the long grass climb was a bit hairy but made it in one shot..

Definitely need a 2+ inch Lift!

But overall the bog standard 2.2 petrol did very well.

We had a few breakdowns that was fixed on the lanes with some good team work and ** * * taking :lol:

Some trucks did suffer some damage (Dented wings!!) but apart from that i think everyone got home under there own steam

Wow...what a weekend.

Didnt start off too well for me as I had to replace the front passenger hub and bearing before setting off. Then when we did finally get there had to pitch the tent in the pouring rain (which started just as we got the tents out and stopped when we had finished pitching). But all was well when I had my first pint and welsh whiskey mmmm.

Glad we managed to get some new lanes in....i bet i wont remember where they were now, but they were definetely gud uns. The wheelie bin handled them all with ease. Just like driving an A road, I would like to point out I didnt get stuck once....granted I nearly did, but I didnt. A bit of jumping around sorted it out.

Looking forward to going back and doing Bar Steward lane uphill.

All in all a damn good weekend. Thanks for sorting it Colley and thanks for everyones top company.
