Re: Beginners Green Lane Trip – Saturday 25th October 2008Andy Im not sure but I think Trugga was having a laugh at me, when I first had my manual hubs I did most of the lanes in2wd and when we got to a particular slippy rocky part of the route I couldnt make it up and I was leading, I got so far up and the thought I had problems as rear wheels where wheel spinning and fronts wouldnt go around, thought my diff had gone, then realised I hadnt locked my hubs
So ermm remember if you have manual hubs to lock them Ste

Re: Beginners Green Lane Trip – Saturday 25th October 2008Hi again just a quick Question on these Hubs ours says Auto do we still have to lock hubs ? we got 2.4 pet LWB cheers Gary
Re: Beginners Green Lane Trip – Saturday 25th October 2008Nope, the hubs will lock automatically when you select 4wd and drive forward (if you listen closely, you will hear the "clicks" as they lock in).
Once you drop back to 2wd, you will need to reverse approximately a car length or two to disengage the auto hubs. Don't panic too much, we'll make sure you have all the information on the day Jay

Re: Beginners Green Lane Trip – Saturday 25th October 2008Hi Thanks for the info we are in OLDHAM just out side of Manchester looking forward to this HONEST !!!!!!!!!!!!! lol
Re: Beginners Green Lane Trip – Saturday 25th October 2008All good information being swapped in here - great stuff.
This event is all about introducing new members to, (or those who have not yet experienced them) unsurfaced tracks and how you can use your standard Frontera safely along them. Feel free to ask any questions either over the next few days or at the meeting locations' car park. We were all new to these experiences once and only by asking questions did we find out the answers. The weather forecast is currently looking favourable, although the weather up in the mountains can be very different to that in the valleys. Lawrence
Re: Beginners Green Lane Trip – Saturday 25th October 2008Ta Lawrence. Only interested if no-one else fills the space. Cheers bud.
