Let me put the record straight    The ONLY reason the landy had to pull John out was that Trucko was the route leader and John was behind him on that very narrow lane

If the wheel base had been about 12-18"'s longer would of made it ok cause brachuncky got up no prob there was 2 flamein steps one on o/s/f and other on n/s/r just the right size for short wheel base to get stuck  but good job disco was in front and got through didn't fancy going back up in reverse

Right folks. Good news. I have spoken to the guys who run 4x4 Fundays at Farley and they will happily give us our £5.00 club discount on the gate. Hope this is satisfactory to eveyone.

So for those who have never been or need more info for the day here it is :

(1.)

Us Stokies will be meeting up here :

Image

Just off Junction 15 of the M6. There is a Layby just off to the right on Clayton Lane, opposite the Comfort Friendly Hotel. (Marked by red circle.)

We will be gathering anywhere from 8.15am to 8.30am with the intention of leaving at 8.35am prompt. So I anyone is travelling South bound down the M6, feel free to meet us there.

(2.)

A few people wish to meet at THE SPREAD EAGLE PUB and join the convoy.

For those people here is a map of the Pub location :

Image

For the people gathering at the pub, please be on the car park between 8.55am and 9.10am with the intention of leaving promptly at 9.15am.

For those with CB's Please turn to channel 8 at this point.

Hopefully arriving at Farley Quarry around 9.40am ish.

(3.)

Upon arrival we have been given a £5.00 discount off the admission fee.

I have spoke to the organisers and to claim your discount when you arrive at the Quarry you need to quote :

JASON - FRONTERA OWNERS GROUP - £ 5.00 DISCOUNT.

To the wonderful lady on the gate who takes your hard earned money from you.

(4.)

As it is Kyle's (Master Mucker) 10th Birthday, We also have go to fit in the cake cutting (and eating) ceromony at some point, as well as plenty of fun, laughter, banter & MUD. Oh and BIKERBARNEYS Olympic freestyle swimming.

(5.)

The day at Farley usually winds down around 3.15pm ish (weather depending ).

No Doubt will then be leaving the quarry and head back to the SPREAD EAGLE PUB for a few refreshments and maybe a bite to eat.

I hope this covers just about everything. If anyone can think of anything else or is'nt sure about anything, then feel free to either PM myself of 4x4 Bobby and we will sort out any issues.

All is left to say is .............

THANKS YOU TO ALL THOSE WHO ARE COMING AND MAKING IT A EXCELLENT F.O.G DAY TO REMEMBER.

SEE YOU ALL NEXT SUNDAY.

I had intended to join you Midlanders at Farley this Sunday, possibly in the new (to me) Frontera, but as I've somehow injured my back, it would be prudent to not risk any further damage to it by bouncing around a rough quarry.

That said, if someone (who has my number) wants to give me a bell when you leave the quarry, I'll pop over and join you for a social at the pub.
