SCOTTISH Meet and greet

Re: SCOTTISH Meet and greet

Hey,
I sent him a polite e-mail explaining who and what Fog is and he said:-

"Ok you can bring your group, £30 per vehicle on the day.
Let me know when you want to come along.
Thanks

Walter"

It's a good site so if you guys and him get on well it could be a grand day out.
Who's going to be in charge of numbers, booking and date?

Contact:- walter@scotoffroad.co.uk and remember to say FOG

Check the website for rules etc.
If you need something done quickly just ask a busy woman then get the f"k out of her way.

Just looked at the map to see where it is and the first thing i thought of was this...

:D

Perth or round about would be an ideal location since its easily acceible for everyone from The North, South and West!
When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.

Glentarkie is a good place to go for a days offroading. £30 is a bit dear for a days playing.
newtonhill 4x4 in fife is only £15 for a days playing,
the first thing to look at is the vehicles that are going and decide if they are fit for purpose { Glentarkie has some bits for novices but most of it is for us hard core nutters who dont mind getting based around}
so if its just a meet and greet and a days driving, may i suggest going some where else that even novices can go and enjoy them self s.
o stick my name down but i will be in my disco if thats cool and i dont have a club event on that day

I confess, I won't be bouncing the truck off any mountains because for us, it is a workhorse, and we have to look after it and keep it on the road. But I'm happy to go to a pay & play to watch you guys going round, or even cadeg a lift to see how it's done. Fife or Perth fine for us, need to plan a date well in advance tho as the bike season is kicking off now. Also lambing starts in April so we won't be able to too far afield until that's all over. Say, mid - end May?

Dont know if we doing offroad yet . It sounds good. Long as there is and experienced driver to show me the ropes and help me out when i get stuck im happy as it goes it might be a bit early. Most clubs/forums have meets regular i was never into it but i was at my first one thanks to domino and enjoyed it. I reckon we should get more F.O.G meets in scotland do not always have to be offroad, i been a member now for a while and met two members and i thnk they sold their trucks on not my fault may i add. Down south have regular meets and help each other out where as we up here do nothing.

Regardless of the number of names i still hope it goes ahead

Ive helped a few people out. (with repairs and diagnosis)
Never been off road yet as i'm in a similar state as Frontera girl, my car is my every day car. But I would like to try laning just to get off road without damage.
Loved doing 4wd in the thick snow we had here though.
Regards, Keith.

2. Rifleman/east lothian near Livinstone
3. Me me me, Aberdeenshire (FronteraGirl )

I'll come and play if we can get a suitable date. (I know typical "shift worker" answer). It would be good to meet some new folk. My Rumble Truck is prety much standard at the moment so as much as I would love to have a mad thrash, I'll have to bow out gracefully from the roughty stuff and look for the kiddy slopes instead.... Flash backs to skiing trip :oh yer:

the problem with that location.... is that it's not a track or any kind of off-roading :( - could take a 2CV there.
