Hi, welcome to the forum :D

I have a LWB 2.2i and get between 26mpg and 30mpg if i drive it sensibly.

However it can be a lot less if you floor it

Turbochops and Marlbororman will give you a more definitive answer as they have shorties :D

hmmm, i dont do very long trips round the town, only get bout 20 to 25 to the gallon round town (city) but guess the engine isnt even fully warmed up before its switched off. most trips less than 2 miles from totally cold!!!

But when i went to a run near to London, at a steady 55 to 60 mph, i made it there and back on a tankfull and still had some left over for the following week. (Hull to London).

Now ive done the lift and bigger tyres and the lights on the top, plus the rack,(more drag) not getting as much, but still good on a run....went to near leeds and back on 20 quid which works out at around the 30 miles to a gallon.( I was clogging it to get home) Still got a little left though.

Depends a lot on how you drive it though. if your heavy with the right foot, expect less.

i recently filled up and went to near Nottingham, Off roaded all day in 4x4 low box, and drove home and still had quite a lot of fuel left...But ever penny spent on fuel is 100% pure enjoyment.

Anyway welcome to the forum, and enjoy.... Anymore questions feel free to ask away.
Ian

Shorties :?

If im honest i dont get any better than what fuzion has just quoted. Dispite the 5 door being longer it is actualy not that much more weighty. (Think it is less that 100kg difference empty weight? Greasmonkey can confirm this as Im to lazy to go down and get the handbook out the car  )

I normally see between 50-60 miles for a tenner, depending on what type of driving im doing.

Postby Teratron on Fri Aug 24, 2007 10:30 pm

Hi Mate

Welcome to FOG, I too am in the same boat, new frontera, first 4x4 etc

A full tank costs 55-60 Quid and consistantly gets 350 miles when i drive nicely.

About 26mpg or 20 pence a mile, not that i have been working it out or anything, Anyway dont worry about the paper stuff for petrol, start saving for the repair bills LOL :D
Enjoy
