Now let me tell (bore) you with my Vauxhall memories! First one I had was a 1965 Victor 101 with a 3 bearing crank, 3 speed column change, bench seats. Unfortunately it rotted from under me so I bought a Triumph 2000. Next one was the superb !!! 1970 Vauxhall Victor 2000, with a body shape to die for. Wish I still had it. They also did a Ventora - same shape that was drop dead gorgeous! Next a Bedford Viva Van - not much to say really, it was ok. Then came the Ford, Volvo and Nissan years . . . First Astra - a 1.3 Merit 1988 model. Soooo way ahead of anything else in it's class at the time. Second Astra, a 1996 1.7 Turbo Diesel. Didn't like it. Third Astra - a 2001 Mk 4 1.6 8 valve - simply excellent. Our son uses it now. Bought 2.0 Frontera in 1998 for £9,000 from a Car Supermarket (still got it). Bought 2.2 Frontera from a back street garage - knew what to look for so no worries. Now, back to the Wyvern. In 1961 I travelled with my mother and father in a Wyvern taxi from Holyhead Station to a nice holiday let on Newry Fawr, Holyhead. So I've ridden in one. I remember a tall vehicle with a column change and a sort of leathery smell (although that could well have been the driver) ![]() ![]() That's all folks . . . 1996 2.0 Sport - owned since October 1998.
2002 Citroen Berlingo Multispace 1.6 16 valve 110 bhp.
Yep, remember all of those illustrated, but it's the earlier L-Series I've travelled in.
