help to distinguish the rite engine please

Can anyone please tell me how to tell weather a Vauxhall engine is a x22dth or a y22dth or a y22dtr ive got a1999 frontera 2.2dti and need to find a replacement engine, my engine has just 1 plug ontop of the fuel pump if that helps any thanks for any feedback in advance

Hi,
A 1999 is most certainly a x22dth.

Y22dth were fitted late 2000/1

Unless it's been replaced.. Easiest way to see is if there is a vacuum controlled egr (disk) on the right hand side of the engine bay. But it's all in that post.
