Dreaded EML

where do I start guys? Drove my Fronty b 2.2dti to Heathrow, all good. Parked it for nearly 3 weeks. On return started on the button as normal but the engine management light came on and put it into limp. I had it nearly five years, filters are probably due but not desperate, and it's got new vac pipes. Light goes out at low revs but it stays in limp.

Check all vav hoses,also does rev counter still work while eml is on?

I did try the vac hoses, but will look again.
Yes the Rev counter is working normally

If you get the codes read then that will give you a good indication of what the problem is..
