So I think it's about time I actually did something with the swb.
It needs hopefully just the transfer box swaping for a good one (I have a new gearbox too but to save having to remove all the bellhousing bolts going to try the transfer box 1st)
I'd also like to weld up the rear diff and weld in some acrow props as a kind of internal roll cage. If they can hold up a building they can stop the roof getting flattened lol
And also fit a extra spacer to the rear of the jeep (if it arrives in time)
Will be in Cambridge not far from addenbrookes hospital and I'm thinking next Saturday (25th)? Or possibly Sunday (26th) but I think Saturday would be better.
Let me know if you can make it?

Ok so on further inspection the front prop output bearing has also given up the ghost so it needs a whole new gearbox and transfer box fitting (already have) obviously this is not a 1 man job on a driveway so when can you wonderful people come over to lend a hand? It has a 2 inch body lift so access shouldn't be too difficult.
I've made a start on the roll cage which is now going to be welded directly to the chassis as when I lifted the boot carpet half the floor came up with it (must have been parked next to a land rover in previous ownership lol)
Also like to weld the rear diff, but depending on how soon we can get the box changed I may of already done it.
As the new title says I'd like it done before the weekender in August as I'm hoping Liam (he came with me to the last August weekender) will tow it down for me

Well that's ensuring lol. At least it's on a concrete driveway. And yes Wales is alittle far lol. I'll have a look at it and see what I can do. I suspect getting the old one out will be easy, it's getting the new one lined up and mated up that I'm less confident about
