Hi, I just picked up my 02 LWB 3.2 and on the way home the clocks all froze, ive searched and the only found problems were its dead to start with and then the sidelight kicks it into life, does anyone know of this sticking fault? gutted I didnt even have the car 2 hours before this happened. So ive lost the display showing how many miles ive done, the other lights seem to work, this pic is taken while parked up, ive disconnected the battery but it made no difference. Also on another note, Ive only just realised I only have one tail pipe, is this right? its def a V6, did some models run both manifolds into one pipe? heres a pic of the engine. Any help greatly appreciated, I really didnt expect to be here this soon, gutted.....

Hi Tooffy, sorry i just noticed the tick box to be notified of any replies. best do that in future! unfortunately I only got her at the weekend and everything was fitted. can i look under the hood and see the value of the temp contact? the origin i know, there Kenlow, its a twin fan kit. The seller said the original fan failed and the kit was cheaper. I will say one thing, on full wack they have a truley horrible affect, ive never been in a vulcan bommer but i would imagine the vibration and rumble is very similar. When i have some time i am going to see if theres any way to decouple the fan frame at its fixing points, its not that the fans are loud, they are shaking the car like a sub, if i cant quieten it down im digging my old pheonix gold amps and JL driver out of the celler!

Hi,
thanks for the answer.
I read elsewhere that fans from a 2.2 petrol should go there as well.
For the contact, I don't know if you'll be able to see any information on it. At least can you show me where it has been put?

I would be tempted to put the original viscous fan on again. They are cheap as chips second hand. Same fan was fitted to the hundreds of Isuzu Trooper 3.2 V6's (as it is the Isuzu V6 engine after all)

I have never had an issue with viscous fans on all my cars.
I have had issues with electric fans on various cars burning out or fuses going and making the car overheat. Blades flying off and wrecking radiators.
just looking at the issue you are currently having, messing about with wiring, cutting into existing hoses to put more stuff in, poorly balanecd fans making loads of noise ... I think four nuts to mount a perfectly good viscous fan is far far easier. Just my opinion.

Right here yer go Tooffy, it looks to me to be a VERY simple system, so simple its pretty scary actually. Seems like there just using a stick on temp sensor, not sure I trust that! Well Kenlow seem to know what there doing I guess. Heres the controller Sorry about the quality, I can take better pics but I think the phone shows enough? There is also a manual override switch fitted to my dash, I will see if a little decoupling can sort out the rumbling, the unit is fixed in 3 locations, looks very simple. Not as simple as replacing the original fan obviously. The system has 2 speeds.

Yes it's enought for me.
Thanks a lot for the pictures.
To my mind, this installation is not really well made, as the sensor is not in direct contact with water.... But, if it works well...
I store all these informations/pictures for later (I must repair the car first, before modyfiing it).
