Which is the best to buy please?

Hi...ive toyed with getting a Frontera for years,im now in a position to get one,but im wondering which is the best engine to go for..and the worst?...id prefer a LWB model,MPG really doesnt bother me,and id like to be able to use it for towing my caravan on the odd weekend away.But although ive had LOTS of Vauxhalls ive never had a Frontera...so help!!!.....I dont have alot of cash to play with,ive seen some advertised for around £650,I realise i get what i pay for so to speak but would really appreciate what you all have to say....many thanks in advance.Andy (Spannermonkey )

Hi Andy, all the LWB have their good and bad points. If you want a bit of refinement and comfort go for the 2.2DTI or 3.2 V6 petrol. The dti can suffer with fuel pump failure with will cost you around £600-£1200 to replace. For a basic well powered engine you can't beat the 2.8 diesel it's not refined but has bags of power and torque. The 2.5 diesel is another good one and if it has been well maintained will serve your well again with good torque and power, the engine is bit of a pig to work on.
