CB AdviceAs a lot of you guys use CBs, perhaps you could assist? My wife has just started a mobile dog grooming business and travels around Cornwall. The mobile reception is rubbish and WhatsApp doesn't always work so I thought maybe the answer to keep in contact with her is a CB. If this is a good idea, could someone point me in the direction of what I should get. It needs to be simple to use and cheap, just to ensure I can contact her if required. Thanks.

Re: CB AdviceI got my setup from http://www.4x4cb.com they were very helpful, it's worth bearing mind about running it with the ignition off without flattening the battery (unless she runs clippers etc of an inverter)
Re: CB AdviceI'd not be relying on CB radio for guaranteed contact, Mike.
Reception can be quite hit and miss, certainly not anything to rely on for more than a few miles for a mobile rig. Weather, terrain, and idiots using amplifiers all mess about with your signals. Your best bet may be to have phones on more than one network, as where one has no coverage another might. You can get dual-SIM adaptors for smartphones, or get a couple of older models off eBay and stick a SIM in each. Jim...

Re: CB AdviceMany thanks chaps, Jim that sounds like a better idea, I will look into that rather than CB then. Cheers all.
