Need help identifying Lambda and handbrake cable parts ID

Postby hades20 on Fri Sep 12, 2014 9:50 pm

Hi lads,

I need some help in identifying some parts and advice for purchasing them in UK.

I admit I haven't done my homework, checking all available topics and the questions that I have might have already been answered but I should admit I lack the time for a proper research.
I am not sure but some of my post might be in violation of viewtopic.php?f=1&t=44410

Long story short. I have two 1999 5 door Frontera B (Opel), one is 3.2 petrol and the other is 2.2 petrol, both driven on LPG.
For the 3.2 I need your help to identify the Lambda sensor (Oxygen sensor, O2 sensor) part number. As far as I am aware its Bosch and for 3.2 its two sensors (left and right) that are pre cat.
Besides for identifying the part number I would really appreciate advice and recommendations where to buy that (online in UK) because I honestly get confused by the number of variations even on a pretty strict ebay search: http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_odkw= ... i&_sacat=0 (please remove the link in case its considered a violation of rules - I have posted it only as an example)
I get quite alot of different options (price range ~50 to 90 GBP). I am looking for a "direct fit" part that is designed for the model and not universal sensor that I should fix the wiring myself.
I haven't purchased any car parts in UK so far so any advice on how, who, when, where would be appreciated.

For the 2.2 I might need Lambda as well but as far as I know (I might be mistaken) they should be the same but only one pre-cat on a single pipe.
I also need handbrake cable right side. When I search on ebay.co.uk I get alot of results that are supposed to be original direct fit parts but the huge gap in price confuses me. There are offers starting from 35ish to more than 200 GBP. As far as I am aware the original cable has steel cable with some plastic cover hosted inside rubber (or similar) hose while a regular handbrake cable would lack the protective plastic cover and thus deteriorate faster.

I am posting this in General discussion rather than Frontera Parts Wanted since I am looking for new parts and I assume the second topic is for used parts. Excuse me if I am mistaken.

Thanks in advance

Have a look through this link, you should be able to get to the point where you can identify the numbers. You might have go back through the listings to find the B series tabs once you've got it open
