banter general discussions etc

Had my phone call from Frank Pickles advising that my truck renewal was due. On an upwards £ spiral with less options on offer. Been documented over the years how Frank Pickles were not able to accept new business from the 4x4 market but after the conversation today seems the loose is tightening. Don't think it's Frank Pickles doing, just the insurance industry on the whole. Basically, they now have only got one company on their books that will accept modded 4x4 cover plus they used to be able to offer a separate cover for get you home regardless if you have been playing. That option as now ceased. Being that I'm a proper wrinkley club member and can get old git premiums, my cover as gone upto £169 third party fire and theft for 3k miles a year. Just wondering if anybody else can give any pointers to other insurance companies that it would be worth giving a bell.

Aye, I was about to mention Adrain Flux as well.
This posting may have been helpfull, on the other hand probably not... Either way, I may have had drink when posting it in which case it's probably not as helpfull as it could have been Work safe, and remember all technical problems can be resolved with a hammer, the trick is knowing where to hit it and how big a hammer to use (I often find it may also help to have a spare bit in the shed to replace the bit you have just mullered ) Work in Progress (or not as the case may be) I give you.... Hi pete Give Keith micheals a call. Cost me £210 fully comp with all my mods, green laning, euorpean cover and even my roof tent I have used them for years and they have been great. The truck will need to be your second vehicle though. Would be even cheaper if you wanted 3rd party cover

Originally I used to be with Adrian Flux but changed to Frank Pickles a few years back due the savings on offer and the no nonsence approach to modding. Oddly enough, when I first changed over, I couldn't get cover with Frank Pickles because I hadn't listed any mods. Soon as I mentioned suspension lift the doors opened. That's when I was paying £100 a year. Straying off the topic a bit, the insurance industry makes me chuckle. Stay with a company without challenging and the premiums will rise, you can put your bottom dollar on that. Throw the comparison site quotations under their noses and it's amazing how the renewal cost will drop, especially when you can prove it's like for like. As it happens, I'm with Adrian Flux for our Focus CC and was able to renew my premium for £170 this year. How can that stack when a car is worth probably x5 as much, better cover (fully comprehensive with all the legals etc.) for virtually the same money

Only if the ""Pay & Play Site"" require it. Some do some don't. But as the vehicle is not being used on the highway it doesn't need its own insurance when on a trailer.
