Sorry non frontera question...seat 1.9tdi 130

Sorry its a non fronty question , iv joined seat forums but getting a reply is like pulling teeth .......... ( post has been on for a while with no answer , like hundreds of others )
in a 02 seat tdi 1.9 , iv noticed oil in the intercooler pipes plus a oil leak ! the oil in the pipes is this bad news for the turbo ????

again sorry its non frontera it appears fog is the only source of reliable info

There used to be as prob with them engines with a coolant sandwich plate located at the front of those block where the oil filter housing mounts. Would be a good a good place to start. I know from past experience that they are pretty fragile and if it goes can push oil into the strangest of places

Cheers buddy ... Will have a look ! Things started smoking now so iv a feeling it's oils stem seals and piston rings :-/ may be time to source a new engine for it

You should have the asz engines which is a very strong engine. Its normal for oil in the intercooler.
Oil breathers from the engine go into the airbox that then gets taken through the intercooler and into the engine.

If you clean the intercooler and pipes out and it still smokes then it will probably be the seals in the turbo. If its the turbo be careful as you could end up with a runaway
