Re: shipping to usaFeckin expensive mate...and if it doesnt arrive or gets lost and you sold it on ebay, the wonderful folk at paypal will probably refund the whole lot to the buyer if you aint careful, so you loose your engine, and a couple of hundred quid of YOUR money on shipping.
Get the shipping paid by gift through paypal seperately or a bank transfer to be safe, so that cant be touched. We have shipped engines and stuff abroad, its a gamble we take as a business though, and overall we are ok using UPS or someone similar fully tracked. It hurts if its your money out of your pocket you loose though...and your businesses money if you own the business! LOL Check out the index thread below where pics/reviews from all our past meets can be found!!!!
click here for the SE Events Index/links Thread...see all the reviews and whats coming up soon! Looks like I'm in trouble with the Mrs's again... She asked me what I'd most like to do to her body... Apparently "Identify it" is not the correct answer! MAKE IT or BREAK IT! TEAMXTREME4X4 ![]()

Re: shipping to usaAs Greg says let the buyer organise the shipping, get a copy of the collection note from the courier and its no longer your problem if the buy has already bank transferred the money through.

Re: shipping to usaVia my old work I used to get involved in exporting stuff to USA. What I learn't was sending a pro forma invoice with the pallet documentation so that USA customs could view the invoice. Saved a lot of problems with customs releasing the goods state side. Seek advice from the shipper involved (assuming it will go sea freight rather than air - would dread to think what air freight would costs). Put a realistic figure on the pro forma invoice, USA customs will only question the figure if extremely low and it will cause problems releasing from customs. As previously said bonus if the buyer will arrange collection but they will be paying for privalege. Best of with it.
Re: shipping to usaShove it in the back of a Herc going over the pond for something and get the loady to drop it off when they get there. Same goes coming the other way.
Oh, hang on, err mmm no.. No one ever did that... no definatly not. never ever happend... This posting may have been helpfull, on the other hand probably not... Either way, I may have had drink when posting it in which case it's probably not as helpfull as it could have been
