So the truck needs the sills replacing/patching and a few other little things doing for the mot.

I don't work Wednesdays or Sundays so either of these if possible. I'd like it to have a mot before the laning day start of February if possible.

So what dates can people do?

well you have a welder the sils should be an easy job..

Should be a easy job. But trying to hold the new sill in place wile trying to weld it isn't so easy plus more people means the work seems more fun (social side of things)

well ive managed to do 5 sils now on my own.. it isnt hard.. just use a jack to hold the steel and then tack it on..

More fun if there is more of you though.... :drink:

One weekend we have our eldest granddaughter then the other we go and see our son in prison plus I have jobs to do on my cars and a sleep would be nice

The 19th is ace! But due to the mot running out you'd need to get to Cambridge/mepal. I don't know how far away you are but if you can make it then 2 extra hands will make it a fair bit easier

I will try and make it as well as it isnt a million miles away. Will depend on if i can get a stamp from SWMBO. Might bring the Ted along as well, providing he gets the same stamp

I'm going up the Newmarket prison on Sunday morning so I could pop in for a couple of hours on my way back ( can't give a time apart from 1-2pm)

I'll be getting the new sills cut and folded tomorrow so with some luck it should be a cut and weld type affair but I'm not holding me breath.

Then if we have time (haha) do a compression test of the 2.2 vectra / check the timing on It.

Feel free to bring tools that you feel maybe useful. I have most things but it's better to be safe than sorry.

Actually if anyone has welding magnets (so the panels are flush) and a decent drill with drill bits because my not so cordless cordless drill isn't the quickest of drills lol
