Going to look at a Ford Maverick this evening, for my wife.

Anyone know what to look for? are they any good?. She loves the Fronty, but I won't give it up, so she would
like a 4x4 of her own.

Any heads-up would be useful, cheers guys!.

It's a 1997, 2.7 TDi GLX......

They are prone to rust around the inside rear wheel arch. My daughter had one and liked it but she preferd the frontera. Why don't you buy her a SWB Fronty????

I'd like to Bobby, but it's availability and price here in France. The Maverick is for sale by an Ex-Pat, so has been looked after.
I'll check it out anyway, and thanks for the tip on rust!!!.

They are indeed a rebadged Nissan Terrano. Quite robust and have seen quite a few off roading sucessfully.

Cheers guys, we went to have a look, and a drive, and to be fair, it was a sound enough truck.
Unfortunately, my missus, having driven the Frontera, found the Maverick a little too agricutural

She said we can buy it, if she has the Fronty, and I have the Maverick, not going to happen!, so
we thanked them for their time, and the search continues.....
