2.8td sport

just brought a 2.8td sport offroader with spares so will be breakin it into mine soon happy days ,,pick it up friday

Whats up with the sport?

taxed n tested, lift kit, offroad tyres, snorkle etc but turbo knackered but ive got one to throw on it ? i know its a shame to break it but it has new bearings ,discs,ball joints also a ladder rack on the back with roof bars and a set off alloys n tyres so when i break it al get sum off the money bk ,cheers for offer ste mate will give u a shout if i get stuck :thumbup:

Do the sport up, it will be easier and break the 2.3 as they are now rarer and harder to get parts for :wink:

i know what yer sayin ?? i love the long wheel bases and they have good space but i never owned a sport but they do look good dun up :crazy:

And you can sleep really comfy in a sport with the front headrests off and seat right back :thumbup:

its only got 4 saftybelts hasent???? haha ive just put an extra seat in mine with belt so its 6 seater haha oh i dont know wot to do :problem:

Yup they are 4 seater, BUT they are coil sprung too and bigger tyres will fit without a body lift due to the flared arches :wink:

And its nearly summer......top off

Get the turbo swapped (couple of hours if you have lots of brew breaks), its a 2.8, nuff said really.

well i have till friday when i pick it up to make my mind up???? or i cud make it into a 2.3td sport haha

I bought a 2.3 to do that very thing but not sure its worth all the work??

A shorty eh.... Just what I need. I've already got half the project sat on the drive, it's been there for about 7 years :oops:

The boss has been 'hinting' that it should go for the last 6 of em :lol:

The idea, that has been sort of floating about for a bit is to get a shorty, have the body off it and replace it with the MG Midget body thats sat on bricks in me drive. Tis either that or I get all the bits out the shed and try to work out how it goes back together again

If you prefer a LWB, break the Shorty, sell/break your 2.3 and get a 2.8 LWB
