hes a very very nice man

So there i was all ready to have my wheels off to check the general state of my brakes and have a fettle when I realided the locking wheel nut key just wasnt having any of it.
I hastened up to the local tyre fitter to see if he could remove them with the help of a pneumatic thingy.
No such bloody luck! He did tell me though, 'let a tyre down and phomne the AA if u have cover'
Good call I thought, so i phoned the man in the yellow van who eventually turned up an hour later and set at it with a huge impact driver type thing.

After an hour and a half, yes an hour and a half! of belting the crap out of it with a lump hammer they eventually surrendered to the man in the yellow van.

FFS, let this be a lesson to all and sundry. If you are buying a second hand vehicle of any sort, check absolutley every element you can think of before parting with your hard earned pennies.
So far ive had a slipping clutch, crap suspension and now the wrong fecking locking whele nut key. Have I made a mistake in buying this car?
Dont be silly! I love driving my car! and can only hope it gets better.

All that to say, well doen the AA man who saved the day.

Bill

No point in fitting them because if a thief is that desperate for your wheel he will have them if not off the truck he will take the whole thing. They are just an inconvenience. If the garage put them back on after changing the wheels they will use the gun and that can the lock them on so even the key cant get them of. Sometime's it will be that tight it will strip the key.

You can get locking wheel nut key sets for nearly every kind of locking nuts/bolts. Ive never liked locking wheel nuts/bolts.
