Failed MOT - not that bad

Well just got back from taking the truck for its mot and i failed but im ok with what it failed on

1)nearside rear anti roll bar linkage has excessive play in a pin/bush.[2.4.G.2]

2)offside rear anti roll bar linkag has excessive play in a pin/bush.[2.4.G.2]

3)Front brakes imbalanced (29%) [3.7.A.2d] ------not sure if this is one brakes better than the other or they both just worn.

ADVISORIES

4)stone chip in osf headlight

5)play in both front wheel bearings

6)play in osf steering arm tie-rod.

So its i case of
4 new bushes and sleeves
1 set of discs
1 set of pads
tighten up the two front bearings while im doing brakes
ignore the headlight

i think the guys talking cr@p about the tie-rod as they are spanking new ones :evil:

All in all not bad considering i havent drove it for over 2 months

Did you upgrade the drop links after strata mate as instructed???

Sorted that about three hours after i got back :thumbup:

Strangely enough mine failed on a similar note. Rear anti roll bar and drop link bushes, broken rear number plate. Advisories were, slightly corroded brake pipes, small amount of play in one front wheel bearing and velocity joint gaters showing signs of deterioration. Not too bad at all. Parts now all replaced and certificate in hand.

Just to update this a little disks and pads are changed, while in there found the drivers caliper was leaking fluid which is probably where the imbalance came from :roll:

The bearings have been tightened up so no more wobble and the rear bushes and sleeves have also been changed such an easy job was quite surprised :dance:
