Peugeot 307 hdi 1.6 06 plate - HELP

My pug has decided to sound like a milk float when accelerating !
It's not the turbo the sound is way out of turbo range . It's booked I garage in morning so will be getting sorted but at present I'm a bit stressed so and clues would be nice ! Once you are up to speed and just sat with foot resting it stops and if you take foot of gas it stops ! Just happens when you touch the gas say first 1cm of pedel travel !

Our milkmans got a hi-lux mate, what kinda sound u meaning???

possable the inlet butterfly as the play up and split or intercooler as when upto speed the butterfly bypasses the intercooler

I feel it's drive related not engine ! There is no loss of power , response etc ! Just this noise

I get a ever so slight link if I push my passenger side wheel forwards ( into the car ) ??????????

check alternator /air con compressor. in the fiestas and focuses that use this engine the ac compressor used to fail causing a hell of a racket

so I'm guessing it's in the hand aid the gods in the morning ! All in all Iv a sick feeling its going to expencive !
I bet of 1 of you guys drove it up the road you would get it straight of , diagnosis over the Internet is always hard !
The noise is there just under initial load and then goes !!!!

Water pumps is also a possable or crack pully

Have you checked the air filter or inlet, something could be flapping or trapping air when the boost/suction starts.
Also I think Manny may have hit the nail with an inlet leak on a hose.

Iv driven to work in it tonight ! And the bloody thing isn't making the noise now! So anybody want to buy a Peugeot hahahahaha will pop bonnet in the morning and have a wee look. ! Could it be drive shaft , when under load ???

Well driving home no noise , went garage and he said if it ain't making the noise I can't find the problem ! Bring it back if it happens again !!! :-/
