new fronty on my drive

Hi everyone,

Long time lurker and rare poster here.
I have just got a new frontera and was wondering about some of my current mods and adding them to my new vehicle.
old vehicle, 00 lwb dti with 265/75 r16 bfg at's. ome trooper springs and koni front shocks, rough country rears.
new vehicle, 54 reg lwb 2.2 petrol with eermm 54k on the clock, full history and bog standard (doesnt even have side steps)

what i want to know is will the 2.2 petrol pull the 265's ok or will it be over geared? the dti was fine but it is alot torquier and undergeared.
also i want to lift the new car a little. just for looks this time as its purely a road going vehicle now. the dti was lifted with ome trooper springs
but they are very hard when running empty so i was thinking of spacers in the rear. 40mm would be loads i think. what are peoples opinions of spacers versus springs?

also, does anyone want to buy an airflow snorkel? its off an a series but i have it on my b series (they sent me the wrong one but i fitted it anyway, and i have the cut away snorkel to use as a template too)
