Ground anchorAnyone got or used a ground anchor. Have read about different types and seen a few on E Bay and wondered about other peoples experiences with them. Would just be my luck to get stuck and theres no tree within about four miles.
Re: Ground anchorI have 1 but have never needed to use it (famous last words).
Mine follows this patten ![]() rather than the traditional anchor design. I like it because it's much more compact and stows away nicely inside the truck, but as I learnt the hard way not to go laning alone I doubt it will ever see real use, but a good essential bit of kit if your going out on your own, or in an open area without trees. Traffic lights in London are just rough guidelines
Re: Ground anchorI have one like that, cost me £5 off eBay
Not used it with my Frontera as don't have a winch but couldn't let it go for that money Have used it to move my shed though Soon to be without a Frontera after 10 years of owning one

Re: Ground anchorFoggy you're an idiot but you do make me laugh, and thats not a bad idea. I could sit and have a cup of tea while shes out of the way for half an hour.
I do agree with you Drifty, but some times the urge just takes me and off I go. Like Dan when I see a challenge the little red monster says " go for it, you can do it".
Re: Ground anchorHow about one of these, very similar to a ground anchor, can often be picked up very cheap, available in loads of different sizes and fold up for easy storage. Not tried it as i dont have a winch but i do have one of these for the boat, maybe a job for me and horses45 at some point lol.
