Its never going to be a serious off rod monster with its suspension set up but the guy certainly has spotted a niche in the African market.

Mobius Two is it the futureFor a cheap rough off road car? (at least for Africa)

Re: Mobius Two is it the futureHi drift
Thanks for this post I'll have to show it to a friend who is fed up with complicated cars.
Re: Mobius Two is it the futureI doubt it would ever pass the EU regulations as it is but maybe in the future?
There are non or very few cars out there that are new, cheap and could be reasonably modified and kept going by a home mechanic at the moment, most due to the EU safety and emission regulations. Ste

Re: Mobius Two is it the futureYour so right
Looks like an early Tata too I remember on the Masai Mara we where in a Nissan Patrol and the guide was great, after three days e clubbed in a kitty to tip him and he wouldn't take it but he did make us promise to send him Nissan Patrol wheel nuts when we got back to the UK I sent some loctite with his new wheel nuts Was the same when one of the guys in the truck from the airport in Mombasa asked "what side of the road do you drive on? as I thought it was the left?" the driver calmly said "We drive on the side that has no holes, you tell me" Ste

Re: Mobius Two is it the futureThe ec regs are what my friend was griping about today after changing just about all the sensors on his corsa he changed the maf one and it looks like its done the trick at last.
Re: Mobius Two is it the futureThe reality is these cars will never take off properly as most of us always want more, even in Africa. In SA the Tata was supposed to be the next big thing but didn't really take off. Think they'll all fall apart before they make it a worth wile purchase

Re: Mobius Two is it the futureMaybe that is why TATA bought Jaguar Land Rover , they have rumoured about building a back to basics Land Rover 90 for some time.
They could never afford to buy a Japanese company like Nissan or Toyota, though these are now the major players in the Southern Hemisphere. The market would be massive globally I think for a back to basics global work horse, cheap, thrashable reliable then go home in the posh car Ste
