Re: DaihatsuI had a 1986 D reg Daigatsu Fourtrack 2.8TD ELT (The biggest one, with the high roof and rear dicky seats in the boot - 7 seater). Mine was slan sided, I think the wide arched one came out a year or two later.
Was a fun truck, but back in 1992 I did not know much about 4x4's It towed well - rally car (better than my previous Ford Saphire) and could hold a lot of kit. Was comfortable with 4 adults in - lots of head room. There was a lot of rust on the front of mine - cost a lot to get repaired. In the end, the turbo went, but I managed to sell the lot for £2K Drive train was much the same as the Frontera: 2H, 4H 4L but with a neutral on the transfer box for a PTO up front. Manual hubs on the front No centre diff Leafs all round Adjustable shock absorbers on the fly Very basic inside Slide side windows Only 2 door (plus rear full height door) Fold, tilt, slide rear bench seat Huge front tilt/removeable roof panel Happy memories Lawrence
Re: DaihatsuOne of Gregs mates had one down the woods as a plaything. It was battered to hell and back and then some. It kept coming back for more every time. I really rate them after seeing that.
