after 6 years car driving im back ( tools ready )

hello one and all

i finally got a new ( new to me ) 99 2.2 swb b series frontera :dance:

ive been away for 6 years driving an astra , ever since then every frontera ive seen go past ive sighed ( i even kept my brand new goodyear spare tyre for when i got another lol ) so after the astra gave up the ghost and a few pennies in my pocket i put my foot down and decided that it was time.

i got the fronty on 31st january at 2pm in manchester
broke down 8 miles off scotch corner alternator dead
exhaust blew off when it conked out
spent a wonderful 223 quid to return it to the north east didnt have rac , aa etc ( der stupid lol )

wednesday - replaced alternator, charged battery
thursday - welded and refitted exhaust
friday - sealed exhaust

monday - fixed rear interior light, greased up transmission
tuesday - tightened 90% bolts on/in/around the fronty then alarm sounds during night ??
wednesday - sorted out cigg lighter, rad leak ( very small ) and stereo :dance:

wednesday evening alarm goes off yet again ! poss sounder , joined AA ( lol )

some questions for you guys

its a b series and on the dash there is a button with a person on which flashes when depressed . is this to turn off the internal sensors ?
how on earth do you top up or change rear axle oil lol
on the mirror adjust switch there is a button with a mirror and waves is this heated mirrors ( im not daft i have no owners manual lol )
is there a Haynes manual for b series

all in all after all the so far minor problems im still happy :clap:

ive enjoyed being out freezing my :butt:

off getting down and dirty with the now called Tow Mater ( as he has been on 2 tow trucks so far lol )
i wont give up as i cant wait to test mater out , no doubt when i do something will break but hey thats part of the fun

welcome back to fronty land and your next stop is the rac website lol by the sound of it.

the botton with the man is the off for the internal alarm sensor incase you leave a dog in the car.
that is the heated mirrors button and if do you a search on here there are a few links for the isuzu worshop manual for the b series fronty that covrs both the normal fronties and the 3.2 v6

the alarm going off is more than likely low batteries in the power sender [back up alarm] loads on it in the alarm section

im sure some said when i was on about sorting mine out that "Certain firms" can refuse to take your truck if it is to dirty ie you have been off roading and then cough cough (have been dragged to the side of the road out side the gates)as it be rumoured some lesser makes of 4x4 drivers have been known to do and ring them up to get a lift home

how sure this is i am not sure but no doubt others on here would be the able to give recomendations i joined rac because they where recomended to me and having a lwb v6 on gas i was taking no chances and so far no problems when mine played up on he way to releatives the sunday before Christmas i rang them after my truck played up and they ferried my truck 100 miles from the back end of no where the other side of lincolnshire near the humber bridge home with me in under 8 hours from first phone call to little van coming out to heavy duty lorry to rolling it onto the drive.
