Finally I've managed to buy a 2.8 swb

It may turn out to be a lemon as I bought it blind with no TnT but with one owner since 2000 and loads of history, I may be lucky....fingers crossed

Just need to find some way of getting it from Worcestershire down to Essex :crazy:

Ought not to be too tricky to move, really... I remember looking into hiring a car transporter for a day or so when I took Lara to Greg's, and I'm sure there was a bunch that had a base in Essex and did self-drive hire.

Trailer hire shouldn't be too much, most places round here seem to charge about £45- for 24 hours

If nothing else the engine and gearbox should be fine and you can sell those to a Landy owner for over £500.

from what the owner was telling me. the only reason its got no TnT is that its been used on the farm only so no need. It had a new turbo fitted last year. needs rusty bumpers sorted and rotten side step plus rad is radwelded. apart from that it is a runner.

Hopefully picking it up next weekend.

Just thinking out loud, but I'm sure (needs checking with DVLA/Mr Plod) that the law states that a vehicle which has not tax or MOT can be driven on the road only to be taken directly to and from a pre-booked MOT.
Now the sticky part. Can you drive it from Worcestershire to a pre-booked MOT in Essex? In theory yes you can. Don't forget though the vehicle must be insured in it's own right. Driving under the cover of another policy where you have third party to drive other vehicles will not suffice.
