BOXCLEVA & ROBBIE ..... A BIG THANKYOU TO YOU!

hi all, just wanted to say a big thankyou to si (boxcleva) for all his hard work in helpin me sort my fronty. its been an uphill battle but its ALL sorted now, fingers crossed!
Anyway si's been here thru all the crappy weather and stuck it out with me in fitting a new engine and g,box and then a weeK later fitting YET another replacement gearbox cos someone!!!!!! forgot to check the gearbox oil :roll:

whilst im at it id best say a big thankyou to robbie for all his advice over the phone,,and drifty too. top blokes all of you, and i couldnt of done it with out you, so many many thanks one and all,,, its really appreciated. :thumbup:

No oil

cant really answer that in my usually polite manner mr drift !!!!!! but suffice to say, i did drain and refill the gearbox but didnt do the transfer box!! didnt see the need as i hadnt drained it, but when i undid the drain plug today it was absolutely bone dry

i can here you laughin now drifty !!! personally, i blame si!!!!!! :silent:

mine are separate, I wouldn't have thought that an empty transfer box in 2wd on an A would have caused issues though.
My transfer box was dry for most of last winter due to the front output bearing collapsed and ruining the out put seal, still ran great in 2wd.
I had to change the box as I wanted 4wd but other than that I would have left it.

No prob any time day or night Dave, That's what FOG and friends are FOR. as i have said i just wish WE could all get on AS WE DO and every one else I KNW ON HERE
