The frog is dead!

It is with regret that i have to announce that my truck is dead :cry:

No longer driving it seems to have caused it to sulk big time, first the electric windows, then lights, then alarm and now the immobilizer/ ecu. Poor little fella will start but cuts completely after about 3mins with alarm kicked in - never to start again until battery is removed for 30mins or so....

What with the MOT due in a few days, plus blowing exhaust, dented bonnet not secure and sills rusted out i guess it will be going to the Fronty graveyard! With my current situation i dont have too much spare time to get stuck in for repair etc so probably the best solution.

Obviously the truck wasnt happy at the decision so it decided to roll down the hill outside my house (after being in the same spot for 3 weeks???!!! :wtf:

) and into what was a very clean Toyota Rav4 - mucho damage to Rav4 - none to frog tho!!

Undecided as to which way to go at moment, sell complete with all the bits or strip all mods off and scrap whilst waiting for a 2.8 swb to magically appear - food for thought while i work out how to pay for the Toyota repairs :thumbdown:

Oh well, last night of I'm a Celebrity....and we have the Iceland food to go with it :crazy:

If you decide to to send it to Fronty Heaven, you must keep something of it that's green to put on the new one as a homage to the FROG.

So sad, it won't be the same without it stuck in the clearing. :lol:

Gutted Ste...but if you donor all its goodies onto a 2.8 you will have a hell of a truck...

If you need it dragging up to your workshop and a hand to strip it give me a shout mate.

Will not be the same with it up the woods, it has done so well that little truck, with some good mods and driving I should say...

Could always paint a 2.8 the same colour if you want??? :lol:

liking the idea of the part burial, maybe kerry will let me do that in the back garden :think:

plan of attack is strip the good bits off in prep' for the next one - deffo will need painting in the lovely green in honour of the best car i have had in terms of laffs...

what i need from the FOG family is a concerted effort to find me a 2.8 swb to put the bits on, then i can get stuck in places i only ever dreamed of

greg, re: offer of help - may well take you up on that one and if you have any spare "crap" wheels and tyres i could buy then maybe we could get to scrappy as well when its stripped.

all i need now is for it to snow and i will be even more annoyed than i am now - dont suppose the Focus will be as good at rescuing people....

update on the toyota "incident"; just checked in daylight and even the dirt hasnt been disturbed on the frog - shame the Rav4 cant say the same, oops!
