frontera back on the road

Hi all,
Its been ages since I was on here.
Earlier this year we got offer a friends diesel passat estate very cheap.As it does 50 mpg (and more sometimes) I bought it, and have been running it until...... it stopped two weeks ago....the cambelt stripped some teeth.
I never quite got around to selling the frontera as I wasnt sure about the passat and wanted to see how it was.
I did however agree to sell it to a friend but she backed out at the last minute, providentually it would seem.
So the upshot of this is that I am driving my Frontera again and enjoying it so much.

Just in time as the weather is meant to get better soon (snow and ice). :dance:

I would love to come and help rebuild your sport but......I havent done my own blue l.w.b yet ...it was the Green 2.5 I got back on the road which still had an m.o.t. and was just sitting outside my workshop as I wondered what to do with it but relucant to part with it having driven fronteras for the last 5 yrs now it was an awful wrench to even think about parting with it.
I did have an accident repair guy come to look at it last week and he pointed out that one front wheel points outwards while the other is straight indicating total rebuild of front suspension. This is on top of the engine having been pushed back

Hows things in the world of metal bashing, you keeping busy?
Must get down and see you at some point, would you be up for a bit of a fog outing down to your forge, as I am sure some of the other guys would be interested too?
