V6? or Diesel? Or what engine?

Hi all,

Been searching hard for a nice V6 limited, but found none that match the sellers description.....all of these have been in the 2.5K to 3K price bracket.....I know I won't get a factory fresh car, but for that money I expect better than what I've seen.

Now, due to feeling a little disheartened, should I consider other engined Fronteras?

What should I consider? (ie are the diesels any good? Or lower capacity petrol engines?)

What is your top limit £?

if your going v6 consider a lpg one

l will sell you a good 3.2 v6 with 12 months MOT and your for £1,000 on a (w)

I know where there is a 3.2 with DOUBLE tanked LPG in West Lothian for around £1200 or so.
Brand new MOT on it too. pm me if interested.

Wouldnt be surprised after all the hassle he has had with it....engine probs, knackered autobox etc etc...

No its not his. His is actually running well now.
Its my brother's neighbours car. In really good nic but he has a new Merc now and it needs to go.
It has been used for long journeys that why it has 2 tanks. One in the boot and one underneath. Hold 107 litres if my memory serves me right. He only bought it last winter as we had it really bad here, and of all the cars in the huge complex, mine was the only one able to get moving. He was so impressed, he had to get one. :lol:

Oh, and it has a manual box also.

Sounds good, I would be tempted to loose the boot tank though.

But for the OP, if you have a couple of grand you should be able to get a late sorted DTI for that money.

I think he'll be up for haggling though mate, its just taking up space in the residents carpark. I know he has had all the LPG in the engine bay replaced by new parts this year and it runs like a sweety.
I'd have it myself without hesitation, but I'm in love with one at the moment. :mrgreen:

According to parkers they were available on a 98 S plate

I cant ever remember seeing one on a S plate though mostly T or above

I've been looking at V6's going between £2500-£3000, both Manual and Auto.

Trouble is, everyones versions of "immaculate" and "mint" vary from one persons opinion to another......I know they are not new cars, but people definitely tell porky's to try and sell their messed about V6's.

I'm not really into the whole idea of running LPG. I'd rather run it on petrol only. (I drive a BMW for my "summer car" so not afraid of the petrol bills).

So, IF I completely give up on the V6 idea, what reliable alternative engined Fronty's become an option?
