spanner party for lift

I've just had my springs turn up from milner for my 2in lift. Looking to fit them before camping in wales at the end of next month so looking for someone to give me a hand as i've never done it before, also willing to help out with any jobs you need doing, copious amounts of tea/coffee and bacon butties will be supplied.

if it is like the a series lwb lift i shouldnt take you to long as i sorta helped Rich do mine when i had my 2.5 lwb.

did mine the other week. not to hard just have some spiring compressors and then jack the wheel into the arch put them on and then jack the body as high as it will go and put it on axel stands and then drop the wheel on the floor and put th factory bottle jack underneath and once you have dropped the shock of jack the axle down from the bod and the spring will drop oot and then simply reclamp the springs and put them back in the hole and let the factory jack up and then put it under neath to jack the axle up a bit to get the shock back on and then put make sure every thing is tight and put the wheel on and do the same the other side.

then on here it says 8 full turns with a 27mm socket on the torsion bar should jack th front 2inches to match.

if you have not got spring comppressors some good stron rachtet straps will do the job just be make sure to doulde the strop round twice before you crank it tight

Should only take 1/2 hour

its about a 1 hour a side as some of the bolts will take more than a little wd40 and the bottle jack takes an age to wind up and down and with jacking the body high enough to make it a simple job.

but it is simple enough once you know what to do have a lump hammer and crowbar hand for lifting the spring clear of the mount at the mottom if is not compressed enough and to tap it back in after you change it. just a handy tip as some times you the new springs are going to be a lot longer

Stretch, are you doing just the springs or the shocks aswell?

Just springs for now as money a bit tight after moving

So what day would be good for everyone? Do I need to get spring compressors or does someone have some?

here is a pic to show the difference the HD trooper springs i got off mark at mg-autos on here made to my ride.

i just messured the hieght from the top of the rear rim edge to the bottom of the arch and spun the torsion bar nut till it matched on the front i lifted mine to 11 and half inch from rim top to arch bottom front and rear so over all about a 2-3in lift over all.

did the 2in as reccommended on the front but it still sat low at the front by an inch or so, so i leveled it out for a more even look

for the time being i am running the standard shocks and been off road nothing majour with no problems

I have spring compressers if you need them. I work in Otley if you want to pop over one lunchtime this week to collect them. If you then give them to Robertmillsav at Wales as he needs them afterwards thats fine by me.

You set the date and time Stretch and then we can see who can make it.

I'm free next weekend so either day is good with me.

Looking at Sunday 11th for those who fancy it the more the merrier
