has fronties all of a sudden became more valuable / expensive to buy on ebay

id say yes just recent all car have gone up on ebay

We got the best value 4x4 for sure, you do get a lot of car for your money and I think folk are realising this

I thought there was a severe tumble through spring-time with VAT increases and petrol price rises but now things, for the moment have settled, the prices are comin g back up. Another advantageous pointer by some weather specialists is that we are supposedly heading for a series of very cold winters. Given the past couple of winters the sales of 4x4's seem to be holding good - eg Nissans Qashqai etc. Second hand 4x4's don't wait around too long before they are presumably sold on. Was looking at a Navara the other month - a bit pricey at a main dealers but it sold within two weeks.

Just have to remember to keep my agreed value with the insurance company high(ish).

Don't forget, that scrap metal prices are also on the rise.
A scrap fronty is worth about £200 at the moment when weighed in somewhere decent, but you also have the current market of people buying 4x4's to tow caravans for their summer hols. Prices will drop in September, the start to go back up in the winter as people start to think "snow"

well i recon the average goin price for 25 tds 97 p reg around 800 to 1000 if goin good i paid a year ago 700 for mine cost me nothin really so far

There is a tidy looking B Series RS sport in Coltishall (just North of Norwich) with a garage price on of £3095 :shock:

Made me look twice to convince me I wasn't reading it wrong.

Blimey...thats ambitious...but then if they will give you £2000 trade in for you Trooper then its all good :wink:

R'cav, if you're passing the dealers frequently see how long it takes to shift. Will be interesting.

My mate used to always have a fronty or 3 on his 4x4 car lot...he used to stick em between some shoguns, yotas nissans and other more expensive stuff of roughly the same year, but priced slightly cheaper or the same...He used to always sell the fronties for silly money to peeps who didnt have a clue who "prefered the colour of that one"...and had no idea that it was really worth a couple of grand or so less!
Thats where I first met my 2.8lwb, he then PX'ed a Disco the same year and £500 cash for it as the lady didnt like driving the disco and preffered the colour of the fronty :lol:

They had it for about 5 years, then sold it to someone down this end of the island who had it for another 3 or 4 to tow there horses down to the newforest and back, then I bought it...Have known it since it was a couple of years old.

Its been like that for a month now

Mind there is a Trooper just the other side of Long Stratton (South of Norwich) which has been steadily going down in price. Started at £2595, and suddenly dropped to £1695. Looks good as it seems to have a fair number of Irmscher bits and bobs. Very clean and dark silver in colour. Might wait for it to drop even more and buy it for a plaything

Sounds like a plan...
