Brake'-ing News Citroen recalled 22,000 Picasso

So it seems all these cars are affected. The Peugeot 206, AND 307. And, from Citroen, the C3 Desire, the C3 SX, the C4 VTR, AND the Citroen C4 SX HDI. Then there's two models from Renault. The Scenic... and the Espace

the problem is loss of control these models which are built in France were designed as left hand drives - so the master brake cylinder is on the left. To adapt them for the UK market Citroen added a cross bar between this cylinder and the driver's brake pedal on the right. But in doing so, they FAILED to adequately protect the passenger-side lever.

thats crazy! but i supose if you are a driving instructor you dont have to fork out loads of money to get dual controls

Thanks for posting this, it has reminded me to phone the Renault help-line to see if my Espace is one thats affected.
From speaking to Renault team last week their cars have a narrow build window of the affected cars from a good few years back now.
Have had a look myself and cannot get the components to replicate what is allegedly occurring.
