Well it failed no surprise there!!! Heres the list, 1.o/s headlight aim high 2.reg plate bulb 3.centre and rear exhaust 4.brake load sensing valve seized 5.front to rear brake pipe corroded 6.centre rear brake pipe 7.o/s front brake binding 8.n/s rear brake back plate securing device missing(just in bits with rust) 9.o/s...................//.................//...........................//........ 10.o/s front............//...................//........................//........ 11.n/ rear coil spring fractured. 12.front bumper corner o/s sharp edges. Thought it not too bad until I realised how difficult to do rear backplates (half shaft out!!!), also trying to find brake compensation valve, none in any of the scrappys round here. Not sure what to do yet, only paid scrap value for it,may g that way yet. Has anybody tried cutting and fitting the new back plates without removing half shaft then run a weld on plate? any pointers would be well received, Cheers..............

Re item 12 - Front bumper sharp edges. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm sure you should be able to stick duct/gaffa tape over to corroded edges to over come the MOT problem. Done it on my Fronty for last MOT and on the cracked bumper on my Sedona for the last 2 MOT's and on each occasion, didn't get a fail or advisory.

sorry but the chances of getting back plates for the rear will be next to no chance as to fit them the half shafts need to come out and that can be a night mare in it self so to get them second hand chances is the you will have to buy a complet rear axle

Got two of the last remaining 8 getting sent from opel in germany,at main stealer prices,!!! going to attempt to fit by cutting old plates off,cut new plate and attempt to fit using exsisting bolt holes then run a weld down the cut.( friendly mechanic said thats what they do rather than remove half shafts!!) I'll let you know how I get on,although it may take a while for the parts to get here from germany!! cheers.
