i remember this stuff from a few years ago and was thinking about saving my engine from total doom (if it ever happened) so i am gonna be ordering this stuff to put in it has some real bold claims but works have a look see for yourself

but then again there are some bad reports to so i guess its each to their own

not sure. but the in the add the engine had no sump on with it still running and thay jet washed it at the same time

and had the rocker cover off and threw a bucket of sand over it too :shock:

that was one of the ads i saw but can't remember if it was prolong or dura lube and they also ran a Dodge Viper RT/10 WITH NO SUMP PLUG :shock:

If this stuff works so well why dont engine manaufcaturers use it instead of oil?

Because it contains paraffin chlorinate which is bad for an engine as it becomes an acid

Looks like snake oil to me, cant see the point of it.

thats what it is commonly refered to at the stuff i've been looking at i was gonna use it but after reading all the stuff on these products i'm not so sure :roll:

Are these the best ads that come up if you search for "prolong" and "duralube"???!!!

they are the only ads as they are not allowed to advertise anymore because the claims are not substantiated (big word for the day)

I was thinking something more X rated may turn up :wink:

Thought they'd filmed them in some country that doesn't have an advertising standards commission. Not familiar with the Daihatsu car engines but thought the dipstick holder through the exhaust heat shield was a bit sus and not vertically aligning to the engine block. I am prepared to be corrected - just a personal observation/opinion.
