She failed the test

Well i have just got back from the mot station with the trusty old RED certificate
She has failed on 5 things ...
1.N/S front whell bearing rough when rotated
2.O/S rear brake pipe excessively corroded
3.Front windscreen is cracked (it passed last year but they had to fail it this year for some strange reason)
4.Front registration plate deteriorated
5.N/S rear outer sill corroded (common fronty problem)

Not a bad list for one of my vehicles
Time to ring the insurance company to get a new screen fitted (im glad i got windscreen cover)

Thats not bad mate. Once you have the screen fitted, the rst is easy.
If you can't weld, then the sill is your only job to get someone else to do for you.

Our ex-traffic policeman van driver was saying something about windscreens are now tested to the entire sweep area of the wiper blades rather than line of vision - who knows if it was one of them things that always existed or something they have changed or tightened up on.

I have done the sill and wheel bearing took about an hour to do both.
Brake pipe will be done tomorrow as will the number plate.
Just the windscreen to sort out (hopfully the insurance company will send some one to do it by the end of the week, so i can get it in for the retest)
