MONTY PASSES HIS MOT.Morning all. Good day yesterday. Monty passed MOT with no issues. However, One interesting point came out of it. Some or all of you might already know this but I didn't. One of the front driveshaft boots is split (Nice little job for me at the weekend), however it's not a problem for MOT as long as the vehicle is not in 4WD. As long as it's just in 2WD it makes no difference. A bit strange but I guess the shaft is not driving. I didn't like to say anything while I was at the testing station but the shaft is still going around like crazy while the car is moving. Still if you have MOT coming up and your front boots are split, Don't worry about it guys

Re: MONTY PASSES HIS MOT.I had a split cv boot on mine for a few months, and with the wet weather and the salt on the road my cv joint siezed up and sent the truck into the hegde
It's a very important piece on the truck so get it done sooner than later (dont make the same mistake i did, £6 for a cv boot or £40+ for a new cv joint/panel repair after it siezes If it aint broken, you havent tried hard enough
Heaven wont take me and Hell is scared i will take over
Re: MONTY PASSES HIS MOT.That doesn't sound right to be honest, I replaced one of mine before MOT and the tester noticed it had been changed and made a comment so you might have been lucky with the tester
