car transport anyone used one?

as it says has anyone used one, can recommend one and how much are they ????

Are you talking about hiring transporter lorry with driver or hiring said vehicle and driving yourself?
Not sure if operators licence and so forth comes into play if you try and hire as self-drive.
Then going on further, are you considering hiring a trailer and towing with your own motor. Last time I hired a 2.5 tonne trailer, it cost me about the £75 mark (£45 hire charge, additional insurance against tyre damage etc., and a number plate to match my towing vehicle). Put that on top of your fuel and you start to see the £'s roll on.
Dare say it's down to what distance and what weight vehicle you want transporting.
I'm sure a mate of mine had a mini transported down from Doncaster to Kent for I believe about the £150 mark. He works at a Ford main dealers so probably knows the national organisations in this field. I'm sure he said something about cost being relative to if a return region job can be taken into the equation.

Just fill in your details, the more info you can give the better the responses your likely to receive. Normally get a good few quotes within 48hrs and you can usually knock them down a little bit as well :twisted:

and i was looking for a transporter lorry with driver not actually bought the truck yet looking to see if its worth it. its in hawick scotish borders not drivable so needs transporting to lowton cheshire.
