you wont believe this,,,

misses went out in the opel corser sensodrive the other night,,,,she got home and the warning light on the dash was flashing and an F was showing which means fault,,,,,,so it wouldnt let you start it ,,,it was in gear so we couldnt move it,,,,,we had to get the car taken to the opel dealers where they said it was a switch so waited 4 days for it to arrive they fitted it and called us to take it home,,we paid 147 euros ,,we drove it home and parked it up,,,, next morning the light was flashing and it wouldnt start,,,,,, :evil:

went to the garage and they said i would have to get it brought back,,,so had it recovered again,,,and when we got there the mechanic came out and put a rear stop side light bulb in,,,,,,,so the problem was,,,both stop light bulbs had blown and the computer wasnt letting you go anywhere with no stop lights,,,,,,,,,,WTF,,,,,,,,,,,,,i changed the other bulb and its now ok,,,,,,,,,,,not impressed,,,,

and paid 147 euros for the privlage,,,

i like low technoligy like my 101 landrover,,,,,,, :mrgreen:

I realise that's annoying, but to be honest, I wish these sort of things were built into more cars. Perhaps with more helpful error messages though??
I see any amount of cars on the roads with bulbs not working, which makes the things illegal to drive, or in some cases, brake lights stuck ON. Chances are though that msot things aren't picked up til next MOT time, due to driver laziness, etc.

Related note, what about having a sensor thingy to ask you at, say, 30 minute intervals "do you still need your foglights on" to deal with the type of people who turn em on in November, and then seem to forget about them until the springtime??

Had same sort of problem with my ML, engine would not rev over 2500 rpm and had to drive home in limp mode, it was a brake light bulb blown.

Not sure if it a good thing or not !!

it wouldnt have been so bad if there had been a big flashing light that said fault and gave a code,,then look in your manual and you could see what to do,,,but no it just shut the system down,,,, :shock:

ok did it again today,,,,keeps blowing bulbs,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,any ideas anybody,,,,,,,

loose connection somewhere, or a wire has rubbed and is shorting on the bodywork.

ok used it all weekend and its been as right as ninepence,,,,,,is that annoying or what,,,,,,
