Turbo pipes oil

Hi,hope members dont mind,this is not a fronty problem.Got an 01 tdi passatt,the turbo is top left of the engine,the pipe from turbo works it way to the front right of engine,seems to have a leak here,undone the pipe and there is oil in the pipe should it be here or not

There is usually a small amount of oil, just a smearing, not a huge amount though.
