I thought you might be able to get a newer model for that sort of money.If you wait till the snow has gone the prices come down.

Go for a newer model Daz. Nicer interior. Especially for that money. I paid less than that for my R-reg, and u seen how good she is.

would hang on a bit mate and look at this way the cheaper you get the truck the more cash you got to buy mods for her its a win win :dance:

i guess it all depends on where you live cos here in ireland theres no way you would get that for less than 800. i watched a 94 2.0 swb with a dinged door/ rusty sills and 85 thou on the clock sell for 1100 the other day. so for me that we fronty would be a bargin even if i had to get on the boat to bring it home i would still be saving money.

Hey buddy, dont just buy anything out of desperation.
As the lads have said, hold off, and you'll get a newer one when the prices come down soon.

Dazz,it looks good on the outside and inside but what bugs me,is the work that may need doing and then what else would it need doing afterwards. My lwb didnt cost me anywhere near that price in 2008 and Ive spent loads on my lwb and its the same year. I would hold out abit longer for something newer.

Don't forget Dazz, there maybe some knocking around with minor niggles that the forum collective may know the cheap/free fixes for...Also watch out for the ones that have been used in 4wd incorrectly during our last bout of weather..

bide your time and wait for the "right" one at the right price..could end up a cheaper option than the bargain impulse buy..

Agree with everyone else mate.

If the cheaper motors are south of the border then hire a trailer or go by train, even after factoring in these costs it would still be cheaper than buying one in Jockland by the sound of it
